How to Clear Your FiveM Server Cache

Why clear the cache?

The FiveM server generates temporary files (cache) to help load resources faster. However, over time these files may become corrupted or outdated, causing issues. Clearing the cache can fix:

  • Scripts not loading correctly.
  • Resources updated but still showing the old version.
  • Performance issues or unexpected crashes.

1. Stop the server

Before making any changes, make sure your server is stopped. This prevents errors when handling files.

2. Access the server folder

Go to the folder where your FiveM server is installed. You will see several subfolders, including the cache folder.

3. Delete the contents of the cache folder

Open the cache folder and delete all its contents.

4. Restart the server

After clearing the cache, start the server again. FiveM will automatically regenerate the necessary temporary files.

Tips

  • Do not delete the cache folder itself, only its contents.
  • If you manage multiple servers, repeat the process on each one.
  • It is recommended to clear the cache periodically, especially after installing or updating scripts.
